I was reading the latest updates at pep.ph and I was surprised to find out that Rhian Ramos will be playing Jodi in the upcoming Philippine adaptation of Stairway to Heaven.
I am not a big fan of melodrama or anything with Choi Ji Woo (I cannot stand the crying) but I have seen most of her dramas (don’t judge) and I have to give her props for crying on cue. The woman is an icon in tearjerkers. I do not offer the same confidence in Rhian’s capability to give this drama justice.
Also in the upcoming drama, Glaiza de Castro will be playing the role of Eunice fantastically done by Kim Tae Hee. I have to admit that I was terrified when her character’s angry. Boy, was she always angry. To complete this unfortunate trio (and I drip that with enough sarcasm) is Mr. GMA himself, Dingdong Dantes in the role of Cholo who was ab-tastically played by Kwon Sang Woo.
I notice that GMA does not have the best cast to rotate for the dramas they launch which I find unfortunate. They seem to have the deep pockets to buy the rights of the most popular dramas in Asia (most specifically South Korea) but it is quite frustrating to watch them. The drama is not the best but somehow I wanted it to be better.
I guess I am not going to count on that as well.
